Celebrating their 4th year of running on the 28th of May of 2017 and continuing to adopt hunger mitigation among elementary students as a cause is worth becoming a hero for.

Pilipinas Run Baguio 2017

PilipinasRun Run with Purpose Baguio is an event organized by RenderFarm Graphics.

This racing event happening on April 9, 2017 is organized by the good organizer, RenderFarm Graphics.

Registration fees for the different race categories are as follows:

5K – Php 550.00 including singlet, bib, and finisher’s medal
10K – Php 650.00 including singlet, bib, and finisher’s medal
16K – Php 750.00 including singlet, bib, finisher’s medal and finisher’s shirt

16K race route will be from Burnham Lake up to Loakan Elementary School. 10K race route will from Burnham Lake up to CJ Forestry. 5K race route will be from Burnham Lake up to Nevada Circle.
Registration started from March 16, 2017 and will end on April 8, 2017 at Toby’s SM City Baguio.

16K and 10K race will start at 5:00 AM and 5K race will start at 5:10 AM.

There will be commemmorative plates for 16K runners dubbed as “Proude Runner” plate.

Try This Foamy Fun Run at Baguio City

This run’s original schedule was on March 4, 2017 but re-scheduled on April 23, 2017.

This is foamy and this is something new.

Registration dates will be from February 15 to April 15, 2017 at Toby’s Sports located in SM Baguio City.

Three categories will be held with the following registration fees:

  • 10K – Php 650.00
  • 5K – Php 550.00
  • 3K – Php 450.00

This fun run is organized by Coco Running and Media Vessel.

Charity Run for Kidney Transplant 2017

Show your support for the Kidney Disease Awareness by joining in this charity fun run in celebration of the World Kidney Day.

Cordillera Youth Leaders for the benefit of Daniel B. Falag-ey needing a kidney transplant organize this event happening on March 12, 2017.

Takbo Amianan 2017 of UP Baguio

Takbo Amianan is an annual advocacy run supporting the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Program of UP Baguio.

This advocacy run of the University of the Philippines-Baguio previously scheduled on January 29, 2017 but due to some new measures implemented by the Baguio City local government regarding running events in the said city, the final schedule will be on March 19, 2017.

The Baguio City local government passed an ordinance last fourth quarter of 2016 requiring fund-raising events by securing an initial approval from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) prior to the approval of the local government and then the acquiring a security clearance from the Philippine National Police for the running routes.

It was good news to all supporters of the Takbo Amianan running event, and it will be pushing through on March 19, 2017.

Finisher’s medal and finisher’s shirt will only be available for 10K and 21K participants, but all runners will be having loot bags and race bibs as part of the registration fees.

Headlamps, reflectorized gears, and hydration kits are required for the 10K and 21K runners to avoid unnecessary incidents.

Alab Charity Run 2017

Alpha Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that reduces the production of haemoglobin.

This charity run is a fundraising event organised by the Baguio City National High School (BCNHS) – Science Department Class 1999, the high school section class of which my wife was a part of, and in cooperation with Team Podium Boutique Hotel Baguio. This will be a benefit run for Alab Caringal diagnosed with 4-Gene Deletion Alpha Thalassemia or Alpha Thalassemia Major. Individuals with this disorder cannot produce any functional alpha globulin, which is responsible for carrying oxygen around the body. Babies with this condition die either in the mother’s womb or shortly after birth because of severe anaemia. He is the first, only reported survivor in the Philippines after miraculously surviving during his birth at only 29 weeks, and is amongst the very few reported cases worldwide.

The details for the different race categories for this charity run are as follows:

  • 3K category – Php 350.00 registration fee with race kits including dri-fit commemorative shirt, race bib, finisher’s certificate, goody bag, snacks, and a chance to win raffle prizes
  • 5K category – Php 450.00 registration fee with race kits including dri-fit commemorative shirt, race bib, finisher’s certificate, goody bag, snacks, and a chance to win raffle prizes
